Not only do we provide a lifetime's worth of skills and experiences, but YMCA Camp Eberhart also strengthens the foundations of our communities through summer camp, specialty camps year-round, retreats, and other camping programs and activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities.
At YMCA Camp Eberhart, we are a haven for learning and achievement for all children with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.
SPENDING THE WEEKENDS TOGETHER
Friday night, we welcomed the Southlake YMCA Princesses and Guides from Dyer, Indiana. They enjoyed a day of skiing at Swiss Valley on Saturday and for the little princesses (ages 4-7), who stayed behind, we had lots of fun activities: tubing, riflery, archery, horseback riding, fort building in the woods and candle making.
We also had the aquatics staff up from the Michiana Family YMCA. They enjoyed a fun snowy weekend getaway which included tubing, archery, and cross country skiing.
On Saturday we had a day group in from Western Michigan University. They were a group of education majors who were part of TRiO SSP, a federally funded program that helps first-generation, income-eligible college students and college students with disabilities complete their bachelor’s degree and transition to graduate school and professional life.
As you can see from the images below, we had a fun Saturday with lots of team/trust building activities and ended with some fun snow activities: High Ropes, Rock Wall, Group Initiatives, Riflery, Tubing, Cross Country Skiing and Archery.
